The Chatham branch of Chatham-Kent Public Library is inviting residents to get creative and preserve their favourite memories in a hands-on holiday workshop.
The event, Capture Your Memories, will take place Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. Participants will learn how to transform discarded audiobook cases into personalized keepsake boxes — perfect for holding family recipes, photographs, quotes or cherished mementos.
Library staff will guide attendees in decorating the outside of the boxes to reflect the theme or contents they wish to preserve. Inside, participants can create sleeves or pages using discarded book pages, stickers and other materials. Those attending are encouraged to bring personal items such as photos or recipes to make their creation unique.
All supplies will be provided, but registration is required.
