Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 27-year-old Chatham-Kent man is facing a charge after an alleged threat incident at a residence in Ridgetown.
Chatham-Kent police say officers responded to a report on Victoria Road at about 8:17 a.m. on March 14.
Police said they received information that the man was threatening to harm a family’s pet dog while holding a knife. Officers attended the residence, located the accused and placed him under arrest.
He has been charged with uttering threats to damage or injure an animal.
The accused was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and later released with a court date scheduled for April 14, 2026.
