Base Line (CK 15) in Chatham-Kent will be closed to all vehicular traffic between Fraser Road and Prince Albert Road from Thursday, November 13 to Wednesday, November 19.
The closure will be in effect daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Municipal officials say.
The temporary closure is required to accommodate work at the Hydro One substation located at 7564 Base Line, about 215 metres east of Fraser Road.
All lanes will reopen at the end of each workday.
Local traffic will have access up to the work zone, and property access will be maintained, though emergency vehicles will not be able to pass through the construction area, Municipal officials added.
Motorists are advised to use detour routes via Fraser Road, Heritage Line and Prince Albert Road, or alternatively via Centre Side Road, Oldfield Line, St. Clair Road and Murray Street.
