Firefighters quickly extinguished a small bedroom fire after being called to a home on Lorne Avenue in Chatham early Wednesday morning.
Crews from stations 1 and 2 responded to the structure fire at 55 Lorne Ave. shortly before 8 a.m.
Firefighters made a rapid entry and knocked down the blaze before it could spread beyond the room.
A call-in crew was brought to station 1 during the response to maintain coverage in the area.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
