Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: An 18-year-old Chatham man facing a long list of domestic-related charges has been arrested on an outstanding surety relief warrant.
Police say the charges stem from incidents involving an 18-year-old woman between 2023 and 2024, including forcible confinement, multiple counts of assault, mischief, criminal harassment and uttering threats, as well as sexual assault.
A warrant was issued earlier this year. After his initial arrest in June, the man was released with conditions but was later found to be in breach, leading to another warrant.
He was arrested again on Nov. 20 at 11:14 a.m. on Taylor Avenue and remains in custody until a video court appearance scheduled for Nov. 24.
