A deer herd reduction will take place at Rondeau Provincial Park in partnership with local Indigenous communities on Nov. 22 and 23, and again on Dec. 6 and 7, 2025.
The park will be closed to the public on all four days and is scheduled to reopen Dec. 8 at 8:30 a.m.
The Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks, along with Ontario Parks, says public safety is the top priority during the operation.
All access points will be monitored by park staff and OPP, and no public entry will be permitted.
Officials are asking residents and visitors to avoid the area and comply with all posted notices for the duration of the reduction.
The closure is authorized under the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act, 2006.
