OPP officials allege: One individual is in custody following a homicide investigation in Lambton County.
Lambton OPP were called to a residence in Lambton Shores around 1:40 p.m. on Saturday. Officers found one person deceased and another with serious injuries. The injured individual was taken to hospital, and police took a suspect into custody without incident.
Police say early information indicates the case is isolated and there is no known threat to the wider public, though residents can expect an increased police presence as the investigation continues.
The OPP Crime Unit is leading the investigation under the direction of the Criminal Investigation Branch, with support from the Office of the Chief Coroner, the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service and OPP forensic specialists.
