The Walpole Island Fire Department says crews were busy Friday evening after responding to several brush fires across the community.
Firefighters quickly contained each incident and prevented the fires from spreading. The department is reminding residents to stay alert and report any signs of smoke or fire right away, noting that conditions can change quickly and early reporting is critical.
