WDSS aims to fill holiday gift boxes for local children

Wallaceburg District Secondary School is teaming up with the local Salvation Army to collect holiday gifts for children in need.

Organizers say donations of toys, clothing, crafts and other small gifts for children aged 0 to 13 can be dropped off until 9 a.m. on Dec. 4. All items will be used to fill holiday gift boxes distributed to families across the community.

The school says the annual initiative helps brighten the season for children who may otherwise go without, and encourages families to give what they can.

“We’re grateful for the generosity we see every year,” the organizers said in a statement. “Together, we can make the holidays brighter for local kids.”

Donations can be brought to the school ahead of the deadline.
