Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A man from London is facing a break and enter charge after police were called to a VIA Rail train early Tuesday morning.
Chatham-Kent police say they were contacted by the RCMP around 5:55 a.m. on Dec. 10 about an unauthorized person on board a passenger train travelling from Windsor toward Chatham. When the train arrived in the city, officers found a 46-year-old man on the rear engine.
He was arrested for break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence. The man was taken to police headquarters and released with a court date set for Jan. 19, 2025.
