Chatham-Kent Health Alliance is introducing in-person tours of the Women and Children’s Unit at the Chatham site, giving expecting parents an opportunity to become familiar with the space ahead of their delivery date.
The new tours are designed to provide a supportive and informative experience for families preparing for childbirth. Led by CKHA volunteers, the tours will walk parents through the unit’s layout, services and amenities, with the goal of easing anxiety and helping families feel more comfortable and prepared.
“Tours of our Women & Children’s Unit is an important step in supporting families as they prepare for one of the most meaningful moments of their lives,” said Fannie Vavoulis, director of patient experience and communications. “Partnering with our dedicated volunteers allows us to offer a welcoming, personal experience that reflects CKHA’s purpose, Our Focus is You.”
CKHA says expecting parents can find information on available dates and times and register online through the health alliance’s website, or by calling 519-352-6400, ext. 6486.
