Mom enjoyed the role of wife, mother and grandmother. She doted on Dad, her children and grandchildren.
Mom was an expert cook and baker and loved hosting dinners for celebrations with family and friends.
She and Dad enjoyed the winters they spent with their dearest friends in Texas and with travel to western Canada in 2000 and a Caribbean cruise for their 50th wedding anniversary.
Bonnie and Bill lived for 35 years on their farm at Lot 10 Concession 3 in Camden Gore Twp., where they made many happy memories with family and friends that will last a lifetime.
In 2008 they moved to Dresden, where they enjoyed new friendships in the neighbourhood.
Mom was a dedicated member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Dresden, where she enjoyed serving the Lord, working in the kitchen alongside her church family.
She loved baking butter tarts and bringing them to church functions; and also using them as payment to her neighbours for their kindness, whenever they shovelled the drive or mowed the lawn.
Mom moved to Oaks Retirement Village in February this year, where she was happy to join other ladies from Dresden who also lived there, and made many new friends.
She loved the many activities and could often be found in the dining room helping other residents to fill their plates at the buffet or assist them getting seated at their tables.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Chatham-Kent Hospice for the wonderful and tender care Mom received during her final days.
Your compassion and expert attention to her every need was a comfort and tremendous support to us that we will never forget.
