The St. Clair Catholic Education Foundation has announced Melanie Erickson as the grand prize winner of its Christmas Season of Giving 50/50 Raffle.
Erickson’s ticket, D-83836, was selected in the draw, earning her $23,627.50, representing half of a record-breaking jackpot of $47,255. Foundation officials said it is the largest jackpot in the history of the raffle.
The foundation said Erickson purchased her tickets just hours before the draw after receiving a reminder from her sister. She plans to share a portion of the winnings with her sister and use the remaining funds toward home renovations.
Organizers extended thanks to everyone who participated in the raffle and previous draws, noting that the continued support helps make a meaningful difference for Catholic students across the school board.
The foundation said its next 50/50 raffle is expected to launch in early 2026.
