With a heavy heart, we announce the passing on Friday, December 26, 2025 of Wilhelm “Bill” Thiessen, a resident of Wallaceburg, at the age of 74 years.
He was born on January 11,1951, in Chihuahua, Mexico, and is a son of the late Klass and Katharina (Miller) Thiessen.
Beloved husband and best friend for over 50 years to Grace (Jacques) Thiessen.
Dear father of Christina (Jay) Sutherland and Billy (Trish) Thiessen. Loving grandfather of Cole, Kaitlin, Cooper, Quinn and step grandfather of Oliver, Connor and Amber.
Kind brother of Susan (David) Andrews, Pete (Cheryl) Thiessen and the late Ann, Nick, Richard and Joe.
He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.
In his younger years he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He worked many hours on the farm and later in life he cherished as much of his time as possible with all the grandkids.
The late Mr. Thiessen is resting at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home, in Wallaceburg.
Following his wishes, cremation has taken place. As an expression of sympathy donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
