Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A woman is facing charges after an intimate partner violence incident in Chatham.
Chatham-Kent police say officers were called to a residence at about 5:25 p.m. on Dec. 26, 2025. Investigators determined that a dispute between a 26-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man, both from Chatham, escalated when the woman allegedly assaulted the man using a set of keys, causing injury.
The woman was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon. She was taken to police headquarters and later released with conditions. A court appearance has been scheduled for Jan. 27, 2026.
