Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 56-year-old Tilbury man was arrested on an outstanding warrant following a person stop in Tilbury.
Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers initially responded to a threat complaint at a residence on Oak Street in Tilbury in May 2024. Investigators determined the man had allegedly made several verbal threats on two separate occasions toward two female victims, aged 72 and 69.
During the initial investigation, police seized ammunition and a quantity of a suspected controlled substance. The accused was charged with two counts of uttering threats to cause death, possession of a substance and unauthorized possession of ammunition. He was later released with conditions but failed to attend court on several occasions, resulting in a warrant being issued for his arrest.
On Jan. 1, 2026, at approximately 3:17 p.m., officers located the man on Prospect Street and arrested him on an endorsed failure-to-attend warrant. He was transported to police headquarters and later released with conditions. He is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 3, 2026.
