Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Three people were arrested for public intoxication following separate incidents across Chatham-Kent over the weekend.
On Friday at approximately 7:34 p.m., police were dispatched to King Street in Chatham regarding a disturbance. A 19-year-old Chatham man was arrested for public intoxication and transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters, where he was lodged until sober.
Later that night, at approximately 10:50 p.m., police were dispatched to Tissiman Avenue regarding an argument between two people. A 47-year-old Chatham woman was arrested for public intoxication and transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters, where she was lodged until sober.
Early Saturday, at approximately 12:53 a.m., officers witnessed a man consuming alcohol while riding a longboard into oncoming traffic on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg. The 18-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested for public intoxication and transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters. Upon his release, he was issued provincial offences notices.
