OPP officials allege: A Corunna resident is facing impaired driving-related charges following a traffic stop in Corunna late last month.
On Dec. 31, 2025, shortly after 11:30 p.m., members of the Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police conducted a traffic stop on Moore Street at Bentinck Street. As a result of the investigation, a 32-year-old individual was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with operation while impaired and operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.
The driver was issued a 90-day administrative driver’s licence suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days, as required by statute. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on Jan. 26, 2026.
