A portion of Oxley Drive in Chatham will be temporarily closed later this month to allow for construction work.
Oxley Drive will be closed between Sandys Street and Northland Drive on Jan. 20 and Jan. 26, with the closure in place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both days. The work zone will be fully signed and barrelled.
All trucks and equipment on site will back up only under the direction of a spotter from Birnam Excavating Ltd., and efforts will be made to limit backing movements. Motorists are advised to use caution and follow posted detours.
The detour will route traffic along Northland Drive, McNaughton Avenue West and Sandys Street. Ongoing road closure updates are available through Municipal511.
