Multiple people charged after break and enter in Wallaceburg

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Several people are facing charges following a break and enter at an unoccupied residence in Wallaceburg.

On January 19, 2026, at approximately 7:33 p.m., Chatham-Kent police responded to a report of a break and enter on King Street. Investigation revealed that multiple individuals were inside the residence at the time.

When officers arrived, several individuals were observed exiting the home. Some fled on foot but were pursued and arrested by police, while others were taken into custody at the scene.

As a result of the investigation, a 32-year-old woman from Chatham-Kent, a 37-year-old man from Chatham-Kent, a 47-year-old man from Wallaceburg, a 50-year-old man from Chatham-Kent and a 28-year-old man from Chatham-Kent were charged with unlawfully in a dwelling. A 59-year-old man from Wallaceburg was released at the scene with conditions.

The accused were transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and later released with conditions. They are scheduled to appear in court on dates ranging between February 23 and February 26, 2026.
