The Riverside Realty Inc. U9 MD Lakers delivered a strong performance at the Belle River U9 Full Ice Championship Tournament, finishing the weekend with a second-place result.
The Wallaceburg Minor Hockey Association team went undefeated through its first four games, earning a spot in the championship final. The Lakers ultimately fell to South Huron in the title game, but showed determination, teamwork and effort throughout the tournament.
Coaches and supporters praised the players for their hard work and resilience, noting the team’s never-quit attitude over the course of the weekend. The tournament result capped off a successful showing and highlighted the group’s continued development on the ice.
