Chatham man held for bail after alleged breach of conditions

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A Chatham man is being held for bail following an alleged breach of court-imposed conditions.

Police say officers responded to a report of a conditions breach at a business on St. Clair Street in Chatham at about 7:22 p.m. on Jan. 29. The investigation revealed a 28-year-old man, who was prohibited from attending the location, had entered the store.

The man was located nearby and arrested. He has been charged with failing to comply with an undertaking.

The accused was transported to Chatham-Kent police headquarters, where he remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
