Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A Chatham-Kent woman has been charged following a disturbance at a Wallaceburg business.
Chatham-Kent police say officers were called to a business on Dufferin Avenue at about 11:11 p.m. on Jan. 29. The investigation determined staff had asked an individual to leave the premises and, during the interaction, the person became upset and activated a fire alarm inside the business.
Officers located a 43-year-old woman from Chatham-Kent nearby and noted signs of impairment. She was arrested and charged with mischief.
The woman was transported to police headquarters and later released with conditions. She is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 23, 2026.
