A winter favourite is set to make a comeback as organizers announce the return of the Snowball Tournament, scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026, at McDonald Park and the P.L. Community Hall.
Billed as a way to embrace winter rather than battle it, the co-ed tournament is open to players aged 16 and older and will run weather permitting, with sufficient snowfall required for the event to go ahead. Organizers say full rules and a game schedule will be released once registration is complete.
Registration is set at $120 per team, with spots expected to fill quickly. Participants are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible to secure a place in the tournament.
The Valentine’s Day event is being promoted as a unique way to spend “the day of love,” combining winter conditions with a shared love of the sport in a festive, community-focused atmosphere.
Teams looking to register are asked to message Karri Bouman directly. Organizers note the tournament is dependent on weather conditions and will proceed only if snowfall allows for safe and successful play.
