Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A Wallaceburg woman has been arrested on an outstanding warrant stemming from an assault investigation dating back to October.
Chatham-Kent police say officers responded to a report of an assault at a residence in Wallaceburg on Oct. 4, 2025, at approximately 3:36 a.m. The investigation determined that a 23-year-old woman from Wallaceburg had physically assaulted a 28-year-old man from Inwood, resulting in injuries that required additional medical attention.
The woman was initially arrested and charged with assault, then released with conditions and a court date. Police say she failed to attend court, leading to a warrant being issued for her arrest.
On Jan. 4, 2026, at approximately 10:56 a.m., the accused surrendered herself at Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters, where she was arrested on the strength of the endorsed warrant. She was later released with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on March 3, 2026.
