Municipal offices and most services in Chatham-Kent will be closed Monday, Feb. 16, 2026, in recognition of Family Day.
All Chatham-Kent arenas will remain open. The February free skate schedule is available on the municipality’s website.
The Chatham-Kent Museum and the Thames Art Gallery will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. All other municipal arts and culture venues will be closed, including the Chatham Capitol Theatre, the Kiwanis Theatre, the CKTickets Box Office at the Chatham Cultural Centre and ARTSpace. The Ridge House Museum and Milner Heritage House remain closed for the season.
Cemeteries staff will be available on call for funeral homes requiring at-need lot sales or interment orders.
Chatham-Kent Public Health will be closed Monday. Due to the public health lab schedule, acceptance of well water samples will be paused starting Friday, Feb. 13 at 11 a.m. until regular office hours resume Tuesday, Feb. 17. Essential after-hours public health services remain available by calling 519-352-7270.
All EarlyON programs will be closed on Feb. 16.
Police, fire and ambulance services will continue to operate 24 hours a day and can be reached by dialing 911 for emergencies. The fire administration office will be closed Monday and will reopen Tuesday, Feb. 17 at 8:30 a.m.
Employment and Social Services will be closed Feb. 16. The Homeless Response Line for emergencies within Chatham-Kent will operate 24 hours a day at 519-354-6628.
Entegrus will be closed. The utility’s emergency call number is 519-352-6300.
Fleet Services and Housing Services administrative offices will be closed Monday. For homeless emergencies, residents are asked to contact the Homeless Response Line.
All leaf and yard depots will be closed.
Branches of the Chatham-Kent Public Library that are normally open on Mondays will remain open Feb. 16, while administration offices will be closed.
The Blenheim Gable Rees Rotary Pool and the Wallaceburg Sydenham Pool will offer free swims from 10:30 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. All other regular programming will be closed.
The Provincial Offences Court will be closed on Family Day and will reopen Tuesday, Feb. 17 at 8:30 a.m. Fines can continue to be paid online at www.paytickets.ca
during the closure.
The Public Utilities Commission will be closed for walk-in appointments Monday.
Public Works administrative offices will be closed, though road and water and wastewater services will be available for emergency service.
All Ride CK transit services will be closed.
At Riverview Gardens, reception and administrative offices will be closed Feb. 16, but services, activities and visiting hours will continue as normal. Nursing staff can be reached 24 hours a day at 519-352-4823.
Both Chatham and Dresden locations of ServiceOntario will be closed Monday.

All waste depots and transfer stations will be closed Monday.
Waste and recycling collection services will be delayed by one day during the week of Feb. 16. Residents are advised to consult the 2026 Recycling and Waste Collection Guide or the municipal website for details.
