Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 56-year-old Tilbury man has been arrested on an outstanding warrant stemming from a threats investigation.
Chatham-Kent police said officers initially responded on May 29, 2024, at approximately 4:52 a.m. to a threats complaint at a residence in Tilbury.
Investigators allege the accused was involved in verbal altercations with two individuals on separate occasions and made verbal threats to them. During a search incident to arrest, officers located ammunition and a quantity of suspected methamphetamine.
As a result of the investigation, the accused was charged with two counts of “Uttering threats to cause death,” “Possession of Substance,” and “Ammunition; knowledge of unauthorized possession,” police said.
Police said the accused failed to attend court on several occasions and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On Feb. 10, 2026, at approximately 6:01 p.m., the accused was located during a person stop on St. Clair Street in Tilbury and arrested on the strength of the outstanding warrant. He was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
