Progressive Ford has made a major contribution to the Sydenham Community Curling Club in Wallaceburg, donating $25,000 toward the club’s ongoing capital campaign.
The dealership, located at 6975 Base Line in Wallaceburg, presented the funds as the club works to raise $200,000 for a new roof and other upgrades.
Club president Tony Metayer said the current roof is leaking and needs to be replaced, and the organization also hopes to purchase new curling rocks.
The club had previously raised $25,000, and the new donation brings the total to $50,000.
Managing partner Jared Sweet Sr. said he has seen firsthand the work and costs involved in keeping the facility operating.
He described the club as an important gathering place where people of all ages can learn and enjoy curling and pickleball.
