Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 19-year-old man from Chatham is facing charges after a single-vehicle collision on Keil Drive on Feb. 16, 2026.
Police responded at about 8:43 p.m. to a report of a vehicle that had struck a tree. Officers located the driver, who did not appear to have visible injuries.
Police say they formed grounds to believe the driver had been operating a vehicle while impaired and made an approved screening device demand. The driver allegedly refused.
He is charged with operation while impaired and refusal to provide a breath sample. The accused was released with conditions and a future court date.
