Single-vehicle crash in Plympton-Wyoming leads to charges

OPP officials allege: Two individuals have been charged following a single-vehicle collision in Plympton-Wyoming.

Police responded to a report of a crash on Minielly Road between Churchill Line and Confederation Line just after 5 p.m. on Feb. 16, 2026.

Officers determined the vehicle had left the roadway and entered a ditch. Upon arrival, police observed three individuals fleeing the area on foot toward a nearby bush. Officers located the individuals a short distance away and all three were taken into custody.

A 27-year-old from Brooke-Alvinston has been charged under the Criminal Code with resist peace officer, assault a peace officer, mischief — destroys or damages property, and uttering threats — cause death or bodily harm. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on April 1, 2026.

A 20-year-old from Brooke-Alvinston was also charged under the Liquor Licence and Control Act with being intoxicated in a public place.

No injuries were reported.
