Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 30-year-old Chatham man is facing impaired driving charges following an early morning investigation in the city.
Chatham-Kent police say a member of the service arrested the man after an investigation on Barthe Street at about 2 a.m. on March 13.
Police allege the accused had been operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol. He was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters where breath samples were obtained and registered above the legal limit.
The man was charged with impaired operation and operation having a blood alcohol concentration over 80 milligrams.
He was later released with a future court date scheduled for April 14, 2026.
