Police seize drugs, cash and vehicle in trafficking investigation

Sarnia Police Service officials allege: A 31-year-old Scarborough man is facing multiple charges after Sarnia police say they seized crack cocaine, cash and a vehicle following a drug investigation.

Police said that on March 31, 2026, shortly before 5 p.m., the Sarnia Police Service Drug Unit concluded an investigation with the arrest of a male who was found to be in possession of crack cocaine.

Officers allege that upon searching the accused incident to arrest, they located and seized 50.45 grams of crack cocaine, cellular phones, drug packaging materials, a digital scale and $1,412 in cash. Investigators also seized a 2012 BMW 750i as offence-related property.

The seized drugs have an estimated street value of $5,000.

The accused was held for a bail hearing and remanded into custody. He is charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

Police noted that at the time of the arrest, the accused was on bail out of Toronto for several charges, including assault, assault with a weapon, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, possession of a Schedule I substance and two counts of failing to comply with a release order.
