Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Chatham-Kent police say a woman has been arrested on an outstanding warrant related to a theft investigation from 2025.
Police say that on April 30, 2025, at approximately 2:40 p.m., officers responded to a report of theft at a convenience store on Grand Avenue East in Chatham.
Investigators determined that a 20-year-old man’s cell phone was stolen inside the store. Through surveillance, a 48-year-old woman from London was identified as the accused.
Police say she was previously charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime but failed to attend a scheduled court date, resulting in a warrant being issued for her arrest.
On April 7, 2026, at approximately 2:44 p.m., the accused was located on St. Clair Street in Chatham and arrested on the strength of the outstanding warrant.
She was released with a scheduled court date.
