Sarnia police canvass London neighbourhood in homicide investigation

Sarnia Police Service officials allege: Sarnia Police Service investigators went door to door Saturday in a residential neighbourhood in London as part of an ongoing homicide investigation tied to the death of 20-year-old Dane Nisbet.

Police said officers were canvassing the Boullee Street area, where the wanted individual had been living prior to the killing. Authorities are informing residents about a reward being offered for information that could lead to an arrest.

“Sarnia Police investigators are currently canvassing the Boullee Street neighborhood in London,” police said in a statement.

“This residential area is where Kyaw “Chin” Doe was residing before the murder of Dane Nisbet occurred. Officers are going door to door, advising occupants of the $25,000 reward from Crime Stoppers for any information leading to Doe’s arrest.”

Investigators also warned that anyone helping the individual could face legal consequences.

“Those found to be harboring or assisting Doe may face criminal charges,” police said.

Police allege the case stems from a fatal shooting at a campus bar at Lambton College on April 10, 2026, at about 12:52 a.m. Officers responding to reports of gunfire found three people suffering from gunshot wounds, including one with life-threatening injuries. Nisbet later died in hospital despite lifesaving efforts, while two others sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators allege the primary suspect, Kyaw “Chin” Doe, is actively evading arrest and may be attempting to change his appearance and clothing to avoid detection. A Canada-wide warrant has been issued, allowing officers to arrest the suspect anywhere in the country and return him to Sarnia.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Sarnia Police Service at 519-344-8861 or submit tips anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at www.p3tips.com.
