Man arrested on outstanding fraud-related warrant in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 46-year-old man from Raleigh Township has been arrested in connection with a debit card theft reported in October 2025.

Chatham-Kent police say the investigation began on Oct. 20, 2025, after an 18-year-old woman from Chatham reported her debit card stolen from a restaurant on St. Clair Street. The victim later discovered multiple unauthorized transactions made the same day.

Police say video surveillance helped identify a suspect, and a warrant was issued.

On April 17, 2026, at approximately 11:40 p.m., officers located the man on Queens Line in Chatham and arrested him on the strength of the warrant. He was transported to police headquarters and later released with conditions. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 7, 2026.
