Mr. Douglas Malcolm Ross, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, in Chatham, at the age of 81.
Doug was born in Petrolia, Ontario and was a son of the late Jack and Heather (Moloy) Ross.
Loving father of Lisa (Will) Findlater and Seannah Ross.
Sadly missed by his grandchildren Natalie (Ryan), Gabrielle (Ben) and Raymond. Kind brother of Connie (Bob) Jamieson and Shirley (the late Mel) Huctwith. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brother Cam. Doug enjoyed old cars and always attended a car show when he could. He enjoyed golf and hockey and was a former trainer for the Walpole Island JR Hawks, Wallaceburg Lakers and Mooretown Comets.
He would often play cards at the CBD and was a member of Moose Lodge, in Wallaceburg.
The late Doug Ross rested at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg.
Following his wishes, cremation will take place.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation may be left at the funeral home.
