Wallaceburg Little Free Library remains well-used as upkeep plans continue

The Wallaceburg Little Free Library continues to see steady community use, with organizers noting the book-sharing box remains well-stocked and in good condition following past improvements.

In an update shared by Wallaceburg Little Free Library Charter #96460, organizers said recent maintenance efforts appear to be holding up.

“I recently drove by and was pleased to see the LFL well-stocked with books. The modifications implemented a couple of years ago, replacing glass with a rubber covering, have proven successful. This spring and early summer, we will assess whether a fresh coat of paint is necessary. If so, a sign will be placed to allow for drying time, weather permitting. We’ve already experienced a rainy spring start ☀️🌱 We appreciate everyone who utilizes and supports this LFL at the park. Although we do not post frequently, it is great to see it being used ❤️ ”

The group indicated it will monitor the condition of the structure in the coming months and determine whether repainting is needed, depending on weather conditions.

The Little Free Library, located in Colwell Park in Wallaceburg, operates on a take-a-book, leave-a-book model and relies on community participation to keep it stocked and maintained.
