As God looked down, you closed your eyes and He gave you peace. With sadness in our hearts we announce that Jean Lindsay passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026 at the Chatham Kent Hospice at the age of 78 years.
She was born in Chatham, Ontario and was a daughter of the late Floyd and Doris (George) Burgess.
Beloved wife of 57 years to Doug Lindsay.
Dear mother of Dale, Jeff & Lisa, Susan & Ryan LaPrise.
Loving grandmother of Regan (Jyll), Kyle, Olivia, Brice and Will.
Dear sister of Jack, Glenn and Ruth Anne.
She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Jean loved to bake, host, Dance, travel, sing in the church choir and playing cards with friends.
The late Jean Lindsay is resting at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd., 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg. Family and friends are invited for the funeral service on Friday, May 1, 2026 at the chapel of the funeral home at 12 noon, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Cremation will take place following the service.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Cancer Research Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Chatham Kent Hospice, St Clair Community Church or a Charity of Your Choice may be left at the funeral home.
