Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 15-year-old Chatham youth is facing charges following a reported assault involving two younger teens at Taylor Park.
Chatham-Kent police say the incident was reported on April 28 at approximately 8:29 p.m. at the park on King Street East. Two 13-year-old youths were allegedly assaulted while meeting friends.
Officers say one victim sustained minor physical injuries and was visibly upset. Police allege the victims were confronted by a group of youths who harassed them before one was assaulted and the other physically restrained.
On May 5, the 15-year-old female youth turned herself in at police headquarters. She was released with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on July 8, 2026.
