Chatham Councillor Amy Finn will be seeking a third consecutive term on Council, after filing her nomination papers on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
Finn is running in the new Ward 7 – North East Chatham.
The first candidate to enter the race in Ward 7 was Steve Kenney, who filed his papers on the opening day on May 1, 2026.
Luke Van Der Vliet filed his papers on Tuesday as well. He’ll be running in South Chatham.
Two candidates will be elected in each of Chatham three wards.
Gerhard Taves also filed his nomination papers on May 5 and will seeking one of two Council seats in Ward 1 – South West Kent.
The nomination period opened May 1 and will run until Aug. 21, 2026, at 2 p.m.
