The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance has announced the arrival of pediatrician Dr. Namrata Todurkar to the hospital’s Women & Children’s department.
Hospital officials said Dr. Todurkar brings experience in pediatrics, neonatology and neonatal-perinatal medicine to the clinical team.
After completing her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, Dr. Todurkar earned a Medical Doctorate in Pediatrics along with fellowships in Neonatology and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. Most recently, she worked as a NICU associate physician with Alberta Health Services.
Dr. Todurkar said she is looking forward to serving families in Chatham-Kent after relocating to Ontario with her family.
“I am incredibly honored to join the [Women & Children’s] department here at CKHA,” said Dr. Todurkar. “My goal is to uphold our department’s stellar reputation by delivering care that is as deeply human as it is scientifically rigorous. What truly defines my practice, however, is my lived experience. Having sat on the other side of the isolette during my daughter’s NICU stay and navigating a high-risk pregnancy with my son, I don’t just treat infants—I support families. My approach is family-guided and grounded in health equity, ensuring every parent, regardless of their background, feels heard and empowered.”
Dr. Zeke Milkovic, chief of staff at CKHA, said Dr. Todurkar will strengthen the hospital’s Women & Children’s team.
“We are excited to welcome Dr. Todurkar to the Women & Children’s team,” said Milkovic. “Her dedication to providing high-quality care to patients and their families makes her a strong addition to the medical community in Chatham-Kent, and we look forward to the impact she will have as part of our staff.”
Dr. Todurkar is now accepting new patients at her office at 100 King St. in Chatham. Referrals can be submitted through Ocean eReferral or by fax.
