Sarnia Police Service officials allege: A 28-year-old man has died following a single-vehicle collision in Sarnia early Friday morning.
Emergency crews, including police, fire and paramedics, responded at approximately 12:25 a.m. on May 8, 2026, to reports that a vehicle had crashed into a support pillar for the Murphy Road overpass on Guthrie Drive.
Upon arrival, officers located a man inside the vehicle with no vital signs. First responders immediately began administering CPR and first aid before the individual was transported to hospital.
Police said all life-saving measures were unsuccessful and the man was later pronounced deceased.
The deceased has been identified as a 28-year-old male, though police said his name will not be released.
Traffic reconstructionists continue to investigate the collision.
