Chatham-Kent man charged following alleged impaired driving in Kent Bridge

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 53-year-old Chatham-Kent man is facing impaired driving charges following a reported road rage incident in Kent Bridge on Monday night.

Members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a road rage incident on Mull Road at about 10:34 p.m. on May 25.

Police located the involved vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.

Through the investigation, officers formed grounds to believe the driver had been operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol, police said.

The driver was arrested and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters for further testing.

The man was charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80 milligrams.

Police said the accused was later released with a future court date of Aug. 12, 2026.
