Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 48-year-old Chatham woman is facing charges after police investigated a mischief complaint on Park Street in Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to a residence at about 6:17 a.m. on May 27 after receiving a report of mischief.
Police reviewed surveillance footage which allegedly showed a woman entering a neighbouring property, removing a plant from the front yard and throwing it onto the lawn.
Officers later located and arrested a 48-year-old Chatham woman in connection with the incident.
Police said further investigation revealed the accused was bound by a peace bond with conditions that included not communicating with the victims and not causing unreasonable disturbances.
The woman was charged with mischief under $5,000 and breach of recognizance.
She was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and later released with a future court date of Aug. 18, 2026.
