U-Turn Ministries announces 2026 summer camp dates in Wallaceburg and Dresden

U-Turn Ministries Canada has announced dates for its 2026 Camp U-Turn summer programs, with camps planned in both Wallaceburg and Dresden.

The organization says the Wallaceburg camp is scheduled for July 20 to 24, while the Dresden camp will run Aug. 4 to 7. Registration opened May 11.

U-Turn Ministries Canada describes its mission as bringing hope and support to young people facing difficult circumstances through faith-based outreach and mentorship programs.

“At U-Turn Ministries Canada we don’t believe that there are hopeless people or situations; we do, however, recognize that there are many students growing up in difficult and challenging environments who just don’t have very much hope yet,” the organization states on its website. “That is why we exist, to step in and to shine a light in some of the darkest places and darkest moments to bring hope and the message of the Gospel to generations of young people.”

The ministry was founded in 2002 in Wallaceburg by Jason Cartier with a focus on reaching children and youth through community outreach and faith programming. Over the years, the organization expanded its work to include programs for teenagers and young adults.

The organization says its mission is “to inspire generation to believe (in Jesus Christ), equip generations to succeed (at life & ministry) and influence generations to respond to the need (a lost & hurting world).”

U-Turn Ministries also says its vision is “to build people through a creative strategy that includes; discipleship (instruction), mentorship (model) and mission (outlet).”

In 2021, Scott and Ashley Williams joined the organization as youth directors.
