The summer reading program is set to launch June 26 at all 11 locations of the Chatham-Kent Public Library, a date that lines up with a PA Day and offers families a convenient opportunity to sign up.
Each person who registers will receive a ballot for a chance to win a prize, with additional ballots earned by attending library programs or borrowing a hidden jump book.
Library cards remain free for all residents, and so do the programs and activities offered across the system.
Sarah Hart Coatsworth spoke with Sydenham Current to share more about what families can expect this summer, along with other features available at any of the 11 branches.
She highlighted the wide range of activities designed to keep children engaged, support literacy and encourage regular visits throughout the season.
Registration details vary by event, with some requiring sign-up and others open for drop in participation.
