A new curator has joined the Wallaceburg and District Museum as Ricky O’Rourke steps into the role. The museum announced the appointment this week, noting that O’Rourke is eager to get to know the community and help share the stories that have shaped Wallaceburg.
O’Rourke said he looks forward to meeting visitors and hearing their Wallaceburg stories, learning about local family histories, and seeing any photographs or keepsakes residents may wish to share.
Community members who stop by the museum are encouraged to say hello.
Those unable to visit in person can reach him by email at curator@kent.net.
In a recent interview, O’Rourke highlighted several upcoming events at the museum, including a free family celebration planned for Canada Day.
The event will feature free games and inflatable attractions for children, offering families an opportunity to enjoy the holiday while exploring the museum at 505 King St, Wallaceburg.
