Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Two people have been charged following an intimate partner violence investigation in Chatham.
Chatham-Kent police said officers responded to a disturbance at a residence at approximately 8:21 p.m. on June 1.
The investigation found that two individuals had been involved in a physical altercation and that one person had allegedly threatened the other with a knife.
A 24-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and assault. He was released with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on July 13.
A 19-year-old Chatham woman was also arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and assault. She was taken into custody and held for a bail hearing.
