Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A Port Lambton man is facing a charge after police investigating a suspicious vehicle on Claymore Line alleged he refused a roadside alcohol screening demand.
According to the Chatham-Kent Police Service, officers located a vehicle running and occupied on Claymore Line in Chatham Township at approximately 2:33 a.m. on June 3.
While speaking with the driver, officers formed grounds to believe the individual was impaired by alcohol and made a demand for a breath sample using an approved screening device.
Police allege the driver refused the demand and was arrested.
A 21-year-old Port Lambton man was charged with failure or refusal to comply with a demand.
He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on July 13.
