Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 42-year-old Chatham-Kent man has been arrested following an investigation into property damage on Wellington Street in Chatham on June 14.
Police said that at approximately 8:28 p.m., an officer reviewed CCTV footage after receiving a report earlier in the day about a damaged fence at a residential property.
Investigators said the officer recognized the individual in the footage and formed grounds for arrest. The man was later located by police.
As a result, a 42-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested and charged with mischief under $5,000. He was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and later released on a Form 10 with a court date of September 14, 2026.
